PTZ
The PTZ feature allows you to control a wide range of external pan/tilt/zoom or moving head cameras via i-Catcher.
- Enable PTZ control: This will enable i-Catcher to connect to your PTZ camera/device and control it.
- PTZ driver: This is the type/model of the PTZ device you are using.
- PTZ address: is used to set the address of the camera on the network. If your camera requires HTTP authentication, put them in the address using this format: username:password@ip.ad.dre.ss
- Track motion: Motion tracking tells i-Catcher to try and centre the camera on the motion in the picture.
- Move PTZ camera on click: Click tracking allows you to right click on the live image to centre the image.
- Automatically cycling: Will instruct the PTZ camera to switch between specified preset positions. You set which presets and how long it waits via the preset setting form.
- Settle period after moving: tells i-Catcher to ignore any motion for the specified amount of frames after moving. If this is set too low, it will start detecting motion before it has finished moving.
Presets
The PTZ presets allow you to store set positions for future reference and automatic cycling. You can add as many presets as required.
- Caption: Allows you to set the name for the preset when it appears in the list. You can not change the caption of the home position.
- Pan/Tilt/Zoom: These are coordinates of the camera's current position. Click the Set to current button to set the preset position to the camera's current location.
- Preset cycling: instructs i-Catcher to include this position when preset cycling is turned on.
- Wait on this preset: is the amount of time i-Catcher will look at this preset position before moving on to the next in the list.
