Video feed

i-Catcher needs a video device to operate, This page allows you to configure what device is in use.

Capture device

i-Catcher can use any Video for Windows or WDM device or any network device that supports Jpeg or Motion-Jpeg. Any recognised devices will appear in the dropdown list.

  • Source: Change the video source settings. e.g. brightness, contrast, URL, etc...
  • Format: Change the video size and compression settings.
  • Wizard: The wizard will guide you through setting up your capture device.
  • Frame rate: Monitor window frame rate. This is not the rate i-Catcher captures.
  • TV tuner: Allows you to tune in different channels for you capture device.
  • Crossbar: Allows you to select which inputs on the device are used.

If you are using a network device, it is recommended to turn the JPEG compression to minimum on the camera so i-Catcher is not affected by the compression artefacts left on the image.

Feed settings

These options will allow you to change the image once it is received by i-Catcher.

Flip video feed: Will flip the video feed either horizontally, vertically, or both (rotated 180 degrees).
