video server help
Advanced Options
i-Catcher
Video Server has a few advanced options to make automated operation
possible, and to secure against unwanted or accidental tampering.
Start-up Options
Minimise To Taskbar
When this option is selected, i-Catcher Video Server will minimise itself
to the taskbar on start-up and when minimised normally. You can restore
i-Catcher Video Server by clicking on its entry on the taskbar, or by
double-clicking on its system tray icon. Minimise To System Tray
When this option is selected, i-Catcher Video Server will minimise itself
to the system tray on start-up and when minimised normally. You can restore
i-Catcher Video Server only by double-clicking on its system tray icon. Do
Not Minimise
When this option is selected, i-Catcher Video Server will not minimise
itself on start-up. When minimised normally, it will minimise itself to the
taskbar. Security Options
Password required to change settings
When this options is enabled, you will require a password to change any
of the settings of i-Catcher Video Server. Note that this setting is
profile-based, that is, you may have one profile that requires a password to
change it settings, and one profile that does not. If you use this option,
be sure to enter a password into both boxes (they must be identical), and
try to avoid using easy-to-guess passwords. It is a good practice to use
passwords that are an apparently random combination of lower and upper case
letters and digits.
