video server help Selecting the capture card to usei-Catcher Video Server uses a direct interface to the capture card in order to achieve maximum performance, and capture from more than one port simultaneously. Because of this direct interface, only a limited number of capture cards are supported. You can select which one of these cards is to be used by i-Catcher Video Server to capture images from. The Video Capture Card section has two parts. The first part is the Card Type, i.e. manufacturer. At time of writing, this is limited to two manufacturers: Euresys and ViewCast. Select your card manufacturer using this box. The lower section is for specifying which particular card is to be used. Most people will find this box lists only one card, but those with more than one card of a particular type will wish to specify which particular card to use. The order in which these cards are listed is the order in which i-Catcher Video Server detects them from the lower-level drivers: for the Euresys cards, this will be the order in which the Euresys driver detects them, and for the ViewCast cards, this will be the order in which the Video for Windows subsystem detects them. Usually, this is the order in which they are installed into the PCI slots in your computer. If you have more than one available capture card, or even one or more cards from each manufacturer, you can select it specifically here. When you change the Card Type, the Card list automatically changes to list the available cards from that manufacturer. |
