i-Catcher Web Playback Server is a useful add-on for i-Catcher Sentry or Wildlife 1.0 to 1.4. Once configured by specifying where the recorded images can be found, the server allows you to review the recorded images from anywhere with a web browser.

The server has been designed with a number of features to help you get the most efficient use from the i-Catcher Playback Server, even on slower internet connections. Where bandwidth is tight, a "Low quality" option can be used to send the image with a higher compression level, allowing more frames per second to be reviewed.

The console on the built-in web server has seven playback controls to allow you to precisely manipulate the succession of images. There is also a mechanism for jumping directly to any date and time, either by entering a specific time, or using the depicted timeline. Clicking on this will take you to anywhere with the day currently being viewed, and image information as well as access to the original image is available via the toolbar.

To avoid overuse of bandwidth where bandwidth is tight, some of the more data-hungry features can be disabled (such as view original image, high quality images, image information, etc). All this adds up to a mechanism that works even with the slowest of internet connections.
