i-Catcher Console Change Log
For Version 3.3
This is the log of changes for the current version of i-Catcher
Console. "Internal Build" refers to builds comprising a collection
of changes, but where development was not to a point where an upload was
considered necessary, or where more changes were required to produce a
stable build. Internal builds also include OEM-specific changes. Builds may
also include internal fixes/procedural changes that are not shown here. Items in bold refer
to major changes or new features.
Build 8 - 2/12/2008
- Fixed handling of partial Axis MPEG installation
- Fixed possible crash in web server when closing stream connections

- Added a parameter to the web reference image request to return the live image if no reference is available
- Fixed garbage data being appended to the device parameter string in feed settings file
- Corrected the use of the quality parameter in the simple view and applied it to the Javascript mode
- Changed the support item in the feed tree to go to our support page
- Supported continuous pan on the Axis cameras
- Added support for Axis configurable I/O ports in VAPIX v3 (firmware 5.x+)
- Stopped the status display updating when the mouse is over it
- Added full access level support to the feed tree
- Added line breaks in the statistics XML output
- Fixed web view session expiry in opera and safari
- Correctly saved the RS232 sensor terminator value in the XML settings file
- Fixed the PTZ gradient bars not appearing on PTZ feeds that open at 320x240
- Removed unnecessary PTZ gradient image requests
- Stopped new feeds being loaded when a modal window is visible
- Added support for the new iPEG streaming format
- Added a local login system to allow the Console to be locked or restricted access

- Converted the settings files to XML
- Added a noupsample parameter to the image.jpg request
- Added the ability for a web handler to do a custom authorisation check
- Fixed the /image.jpg resource failing when specifying any image parameter wihout noupsample
- Added the new iPhone web interface
Build 3 - 30/09/2008
- Correctly handled deleting batch feed images when Console is stopped
- Added a batch feed option to not delete any pending images on startup
- Added a remote admin request to add feeds via the HTTP API
- Added a "Live view URL" setting to each feed to go direct to the camera
- Fixed the archive not cancelling properly
Build 2 - 17/09/2008
- Included the iCatcher gadget in the setup and provided a download link in the web view
- Fixed support for Motion JPEG streams that use a space in the separator
- Used the PTZ driver capabilities to determine whether to show the PTZ port setting
- Added suppport for the continuous move capable PTZ drivers
- Added support for the Active Silicon capture cards

- Fixed web playback bug when telling it to go to the first image and play
- Used the maximum pan and tilt speed the camera can handle when moving the Sony cameras
- Fixed the handling of PICOLO Diligent cards and removed a potential delay enumerating PICOLO devices
